"Every company sets their own course for the future and has to take decisions," says Christoph Kreiser, CEO of Artur Theis GmbH. "We see the future clearly in digital printing and are pleased to have such a strong partner on our side with HP."
Artur Theis GmbH specialises in the production of high-quality folding cartons for the healthcare market. It is part of the Edelmann Group, which is one of Germany's leading packaging manufacturers and system suppliers. At 13 locations worldwide, 2,300 employees produce folding cartons, package inserts and system solutions. Customers of the Group include top brands from healthcare, beauty and consumer sectors that expect finishing expertise and high quality standards. With the HP Indigo 30000 Digital Press, the company can customise packaging individually and uniquely, for use in clinical trials, for example.
The HP Indigo 30000 Digital Press is the first HP Indigo digital press that has been specially developed for the folding carton market. The press prints sheet formats up to 750mm (30") in up to seven colours. With a print speed of up to 4,600 sheets per hour in Enhanced Productivity Mode, it allows greater productivity and integrates seamlessly into existing workflows. Thanks to an inline priming unit, users have great flexibility when printing on commercially available substrates. With the inline varnishing machine Tresu iCoat 30000, the printed sheets can be coated with water-based or UV-hardened finishes, which effectively prevent the migration of harmful substances. Consequently, packaging meets the high standards of hygiene in the pharmaceutical and cosmetics industries and also obtains the high quality appearance that has come to be expected in these sectors.
